Type of Project: Renovation and Expansion of existing Mayflower Hotel. The Mayflower Hotel was 12 stories ornate concrete shell with interior waffle slabs. The new Grand Hotel called to demolish the existing waffle slabs and replace them with an 8’ two-way slab to achieve a more significant floor-to-floor height. The basement footings were lowered 5’ feet. Two new structural steel floors were added.
Responsibility: I managed all aspects of construction, from groundwork to interior punch-out and all phases. I was very hands-on with the project. Responsible for scheduling all subcontractors and hiring workers as needed.
